Native Plants Societies around Australia

The Australian Native Plant Society (Australia) consists of eight affiliated Member Societies, one for each of the six Australian states plus the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory.  The ANPSA works to promote Australian plants through wildflower festivals, publishing, websites, periodicals, meetings and seminars. Australian Flora Foundation

The Australian Flora Foundation fosters research into the biology and cultivation of Australian plants by funding research projects, giving prizes for research, organising seminars, publishing research findings and by any other effective means. You can read their newsletters online.  

Queensland Herbarium

The Queensland Herbarium is the centre for research and information on Queensland ecosystems, plants, fungi and algae. The Queensland Herbarium building at Toowong houses the state’s plant specimen collection of more than 830,000 specimens, representing Queensland’s native and naturalised plant species and 150 years of species discovery.
