Cairns branch meetings are held in conjunction with field trips on the third Sunday of each month. Please see the calendar for details.
History
The inaugural meeting of the Cairns Branch of SGAP was held on 20th March 1980. Arthur Mousamos was elected Chairman and Jo-Anne Edwards Secretary.
In June 1986, Cairns and Tablelands Branches combined to host a Regional Conference with the theme, Go Native.
The programme took members to various venues and areas around Cairns and the Atherton Tableland. It was followed by an adventurous camp-out excursion to Cape Flattery and Cooktown.
