    Samford Branch Meeting: Speaker Russell Young on Rainforest Gardens

    September Meeting: ‘Designing an understorey rainforest garden’ by Russell Young. CWA Hall, Main Street, Samford, 7.30 p.m.

    Samford branch meetings and workshops are held at 7.30 p.m. at the CWA Hall, Main St, Samford on the first Tuesday of each month except January. We invite a wide range of speakers, and visitors are most welcome (refreshments supplied).

    Logan River Branch Propagation Group

    On the first Thursday of the month our group meets at Eagleby Community Nursery for a propagation morning. We use different propagating techniques, growing plants from seeds and cuttings as well as grafting.  

    We grow many different kinds of plants, from grevilleas and callistemons to butterfly host plants and bush tucker plants, and the resulting plants are shared amongst members or sold at one of Native Plants Queensland's regional Plant Markets.

    Wildflower Spectacle and Plants Market

    Our famous Wildflower Spectacle and Plants Market will be held on the weekend of 7 & 8 September 2019 at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mount Coot-tha. 

    As well as an extensive and informative exhibition hall, we'll have wonderful Australian native plants on display and for sale. We offer a huge range of native plants, suitable for every garden situation. Expert advice on plant selection and care is available from the growers as well as the knowledgeable volunteers and members of Native Plants Queensland. 

    Prices are very low and plants are available from tubes to mature plants - you will find plants that will never be on sale in commercial nurseries. 

    Come and enjoy the colour, the inspirational themed displays, the plants at bargain prices, light refreshments and books and advice from experts on our unique Australian native plants.

    Doors open 9am - $3 Entry

  • Gladstone Branch Meeting

    September Excursion - Wildcattle Creek walk – 2km. Meet 9.00am at Boat Ramp carpark at Wildcattle Creek.

    Gladstone branch conducts monthly daytime excursions to areas of botanical interest in the Port Curtis Region and other activities. If you would like to attend an excursion, please contact the branch secretary, Ruth.

    Participants are asked to bring a first-aid kit, food and drinking water and ensure that they have sufficient petrol for the day.
