    Brisbane Western Suburbs Branch Meeting

    Meeting - 7.00pm - Paul Taylor has an interesting inner city garden of Native Plants, and he will share his interest in the lesser known plants that thrive in his garden and streetscape. The meeting will be at Chapel Hill School.

    Samford Branch Meeting: Speaker Peter Storer on Gardening for Wildlife

    November Meeting: ‘Creating a garden for wildlife’ by Peter Storer. CWA Hall, Main Street, Samford, 7.30 p.m.

    Samford branch meetings and workshops are held at 7.30 p.m. at the CWA Hall, Main St, Samford on the first Tuesday of each month except January. We invite a wide range of speakers, and visitors are most welcome (refreshments supplied).

    Logan River Branch Propagation Group

    On the first Thursday of the month our group meets at Eagleby Community Nursery for a propagation morning. We use different propagating techniques, growing plants from seeds and cuttings as well as grafting.  

    We grow many different kinds of plants, from grevilleas and callistemons to butterfly host plants and bush tucker plants, and the resulting plants are shared amongst members or sold at one of Native Plants Queensland's regional Plant Markets.

    Mackay branch meetings are held from 7.30pm on the first Thursday of each month (excluding January) at the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens (MRBG) meeting room, Lagoon St, Mackay.

    Brisbane Daytime Branch Meeting: Bay Island

    Meeting 9.30am. Bay Island trip - UBD Map 303 G10. for shared morning tea and BYO lunch. Bring a chair, friends and plants for the raffle.

    Brisbane Daytime branch meets at a different venue around the Brisbane area each month.  We meet on the 2nd Friday of every month, except for January. We start with morning tea at 9:30am, followed by a meeting and discussion at 10am.  Please bring your morning tea, lunch and a chair and wear a hat and sensible walking shoes.  Vistitors are welcome.

  • Gladstone Branch Meeting

    Propagation workshop and garden visit – Wendy at Wurdong Heights from 9.30am.

    Gladstone branch conducts monthly daytime excursions to areas of botanical interest in the Port Curtis Region and other activities. If you would like to attend an excursion, please contact the branch secretary, Ruth.

    Participants are asked to bring a first-aid kit, food and drinking water and ensure that they have sufficient petrol for the day.

  • Sunshine Coast Branch Meeting: Speaker Mike Donovan on Local Reptiles and Amphibians

    November Meeting - 9.00am at Brush Turkey Enterprises, 468 Reesville Road, Maleny - presentation by Mike Donovan, photographer and author of 'Snakes of the Sunshine Coast Region', on reptiles and amphibians we can expect to see in our native gardens and bushland reserves.

    Native Plants Queensland's Sunshine Coast Branch meet for 2-3 hours at 2pm on the second Sunday of each month except January, but there are often other events and propagation days between regular meetings. Many of our meetings are excursions to explore some of the beautiful natural places in our region, usually led by an expert in the flora of that location.
