    Logan River Branch Meeting

    Native Plants Queensland's Logan River branch meets on the third Thursday of each month at a different venue each time. Meetings start at 9.30am. Contact Logan River branch for details of our upcoming meeting location.

    Logan River branch meetings are held outdoors at a local national park, council reserve or botanic gardens, or at a branch member's house where members are able to visit their garden. The branch meetings always commence with a shared morning tea and finish with lunch for those who like to stay on.

    Pine Rivers Branch Meeting

    Each month between our quarterly meetings (which are held in February, May, August & November) we get together on the third Monday morning, meeting at 9.00am in parks and in members gardens to inspect and learn about the wealth of plants found throughout the Moreton Bay region. Bring your morning tea and lunch to enjoy under a shady tree or on a riverbank.

    Mackay Branch Propagation Group

    Our propagation group usually holds nursery sessions from 7.30am on the last Thursday morning of each month at the branch's nursery at Queens Park. The main objective of the group is to grow and promote native species suitable for local conditions, for members, public plant sales and for special projects. Excursions to collect seed and propagating material are also held from time to time and members can purchase our plants all year round.

    Brisbane Western Suburbs Branch Meeting

    Brisbane's Western Suburbs branch meets regularly on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. We meet at the Chapel Hill State School in a room under the Resource Centre at the end of the long parking area. For further meeting information please contact Western Suburbs branch.

    Samford Branch Meeting

    Samford branch meetings and workshops are held at 7.30 p.m. at the CWA Hall, Main St, Samford on the first Tuesday of each month except January. We invite a wide range of speakers, and visitors are most welcome (refreshments supplied).

    Logan River Branch Propagation Group

    On the first Thursday of the month our group meets at Eagleby Community Nursery for a propagation morning. We use different propagating techniques, growing plants from seeds and cuttings as well as grafting.  

    We grow many different kinds of plants, from grevilleas and callistemons to butterfly host plants and bush tucker plants, and the resulting plants are shared amongst members or sold at one of Native Plants Queensland's regional Plant Markets.

    Brisbane Daytime Branch Meeting

    Brisbane Daytime branch meets at a different venue around the Brisbane area each month.  We meet on the 2nd Friday of every month, except for January. We start with morning tea at 9:30am, followed by a meeting and discussion at 10am.  Please bring your morning tea, lunch and a chair and wear a hat and sensible walking shoes.  Vistitors are welcome.

    Sunshine Coast Branch Meeting

    Native Plants Queensland's Sunshine Coast Branch meet for 2-3 hours at 2pm on the second Sunday of each month except January, but there are often other events and propagation days between regular meetings. Many of our meetings are excursions to explore some of the beautiful natural places in our region, usually led by an expert in the flora of that location.     February meeting: AGM and property walk at Bald Knob

    March meeting: 9.30 am at Maroochy Botanic Gardens, Tanawha to learn what’s new from the scientists and citizen scientists with Ian McMaster, Hilary Pearl, Ryan Nevis and Garry Thomas. Morning tea $5, supplied by the Friends of the Gardens

    April meeting: a walk in Triunia National Park led by Jacqueline Nolen, Sunshine Coast Council.

    May meeting: Kenneth McClymont, Sunshine Coast Council will lead a walk at Ewen Maddock dam.

    July meeting: Come along and see Native Plants Queensland's Sunshine Coast Branch display in the Living Backyard area at the Queensland Garden Expo, Nambour. Friday – Sunday July 12 – 14 2019.

    Gladstone Branch Meeting

    Gladstone branch conducts monthly daytime excursions to areas of botanical interest in the Port Curtis Region and other activities. If you would like to attend an excursion, please contact the branch secretary, Ruth. Participants are asked to bring a first-aid kit, food and drinking water and ensure that they have sufficient petrol for the day.

    February meeting: Barney Point Beach landscaping -- meet in the carpark at the North end of the beach at 10am.
    March meeting: Clean Up Australia Day at Canoe Point and Boyne River -- meet at shelter in car park at Canoe Point Tannum Sands at 8:30am.

    Pine Rivers Branch Quarterly Meeting

    Visitors and members are welcome to our Sunday afternoon meeting at Kumbartcho Environmental Education Centre, 15 Bunya Pine Ct, Eatons Hill, starting 1.00pm. Please BYO afternoon tea.

    We have a guest speaker to tell us about some interesting aspect of native plants. We also share our knowledge gained from growing Aussie plants in our own gardens, bring along specimens for ‘show and tell’, host a plant exchange for those who've brought along their pots, and browse the range of plants for purchase from the Kumbartcho nursery.

    The February meeting will also include our AGM.
